                                     LTM’s School Website is COMING 

Why do we need a school website ? 

We need a school website to community what is happening in the school. A one stop resource for parents , students , staff , partners and community members. It will provide up to date and accurate information including school policies, programs , events and more. The LTM website is planning to Launch at the end of August , early september. Stay on the look out for Launch date.

School Updates and Highlights

We have a new library space ! During one period , once a week, students will have the opportunity to socialize in a different environment and work on reading behaviors , social skills and other programming. 

 

ESY – Extended School Year 

The purpose of ESY services is to assist students in maintaining the skills at risk of regression or for students with severe disabilities to attain the critical skills or goals essential to the students continued progress. 

 

 

 

Youthworks

YouthWorks is a program within the Baltimore City Mayor’s Office of Employment Development, Youth Services Division that  provide a 5-week job opportunity to thousands of Baltimore City young people between the ages of 14 to 21. This summer we have four youth working in the office , doing service projects and assisting in the classroom. During the time at LTM , they also participate in professional development workshops. 

 
 

Mission Moment

      ***New Initiative Alert ***

Books for Breakfast  is a new initiative that strives to promote strong reading practices among the students and their families. This event will feature a pancake breakfast coupled with storytelling. Students, staff and parents are invited to attend. Participants can wear costumes of characters from books. Parents and students will have the opportunity to pick through books and take them home.

Food Pantry 

Ltm has a food pantry on site that will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am – 2pm. If you need additional items on another day please call 410-396-7463 and ask for the Community School Director. 

 

Hygiene Closet 

Through our partnership with Part of Peace, each student receives a monthly hygiene kit that includes body wash , soap, lotion , shampoo/conditioner , etc. Also in our hygiene closet we have household items such as laundry detergent, dish soap , feminine products , and cleaning supplies. If you need additional items please call 410-396-7463. Additional items will be distributed on a cases by case basis 

 

Meeting Community Need

Special Needs Childcare

LOCATE Child Care is a service through the Maryland Family Network. This service is provided to callers by trained LOCATE counselors who are professional, and who have experience and or training working with children with special needs. 

Balto. Childcare Resource Center

This resource center serves as a hub for issues relating to childcare and education of young children in Baltimore City.

QR Code for the Parent Help Desk

The LTM Help Desk is a space for Parents to send request if they need assistance or if they want to make a suggestion to the school. After you submit your request , the Community School Director will review the request and provide a response within 24 to 48 hours.
